University of Adger in Norway offers Scholarships for CUET Students

Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) students are now getting scholarship opportunities from University of Agder in Norway. This scholarship opportunity is being offered in two different terms under the ongoing care project run by CUET and Agder universities. PhD and Masters Students of the University's Department of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Institute of Energy Technology can apply for this scholarship.

A notification signed by Sheikh Mohammad Humayun Kabir, Registrar (Additional Duties) of CUET, on April 12 asked to apply for one semester (5 months) of study in the Masters in Renewable Energy program at the University of Agder. Its probable duration is from August to December 2023.

The notification asked to apply for the two-year Masters course from August 2023 to July 2025. Students who have completed their graduation in mechanical engineering and electrical and electronic engineering departments of the university or who have completed theoretical courses in March 2023 can apply.

Interested students in both fields should send the application form to Abu Sadat Muhammad Sayem, Director of CARE Project and Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, CUET, through e-mail ([email protected]). The last date for sending the application form is May 8.

The notification also said that under this scholarship, students will get free tuition in addition to 11,500 Norwegian kroner per month and air tickets for travel.

Project director Abu Sadat Mohammad Sayem told the media that 2-3 people will be selected for the two-year course. In this case, the selected students will complete the entire Master's course in Norway. The minimum qualification for application is CGPA 3.5 out of 4. In this case applicant's CGPA, interview performance etc. will be considered. 3-4 students will be selected for five months duration (one semester) Masters Course. In this case, the remaining 3 semesters of Master's will be completed in CUET. The list of selected students will be finally communicated to the Agder University authorities on May 18.
